Like others have said previously,you're never alone with a cat-or dogs. When I am the only one in I like the door shut but in one place the cat likes to sit on my lap; in the other the dogs like to sit and stare. If you don't let them in they scratch the door and cry.

I mostly close it because it's a cold house but have to leave a few inches for the cats to get through or they will push it all the way open. If I close it completely they will scratch on the other side because I'm obviously doing something they must be a part of in there!

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

Just us and a load of furbabies in our house and we have a child gate wedged in the bathroom doorway so even if we wanted to we couldn't shut the door......we are very comfortable with bodily functions so not bothered at all
