The nominations were all done by PM to avoid any cliquey-ness. Once I realised people were nominating me for things (which I'm sure was in part done because they were sending them to me so felt they 'had' to) I sought the opinions of a few different people asking whether I should remove myself. All of them said no because people took the time to vote.

I appreciate your opinion, however perhaps next time you could take time and effort to vote yourself to avoid 'the same names being churned out' rather than just calling it out after the event...

Why?

I thought it went great.

Lots of new categories.

The nominated people got a mention, and it showed that it wasn't just the 'usual few' who tended to get voted for in past years.

I didn't see much bickering which was a refreshing change.

There's no clique on the forum, just lots of different groups of friends.

A happy thread and no mention of Russian roulette.

Oopsie.

I'm willing to bet Jenni had reservations about announcing the nominations and awards as she featured.

This must have been a nightmare to organise and administer.
