"the term legend is thrown about too much these days but in the case of Lemmy it was an accurate description. I will miss his acerbic wit and lightening fast thunderous bass " . Definitely a legend! Probably not a genius

"Apparently had a very aggressive form of cancer and he only found out on the 26th of this month. Very sad. Fuck cancer. " That's what I read too. At least he had a good last birthday & Christmas. I'm sure that's a memory that his loved ones will cherish.

"A sad day.. rip lemmy.. a true rock god.. " Great words to describe him. Have my own motorhead tattoo on my chest with what he has on his arm. Inspired by the gravely voiced legend at a young age. So long.

"I hope all the music journalists who slated his last performances have the decency to not now wax lyrical about a legend who they just took chap shots at. There was no one like lemmy he was unique if rock is the music of rebels, then lemmy was the rebel of all rebels, but always looked like some bloke you would see in the local boozer Rip lemmy, your gone, but my god didn't you live" Well said mate Lemmy would love your comments. I will miss him and his music forever.

" I saw motorhead play at glastonbury this year and thought Lemmy wasn't himself, just had that feeling that something was wrong." Aye, the fact he was still singing Ace of Spades when the rest of the band (including him) was playing Overkill was a bit of a giveaway. You could see his confusion that head and hands weren't co-ordinated, it was painful to see. RIP Lemmy

At least he didn't linger, but the hell do we go and watch now? wow marquee Club i remember that little place " Lem used to drink in there a lot and watch the bands before he moved to LA, Motorhead played there in 83 too for the (at the time)) princely sum of £5! Some nice tributes on the news though. But yes a lot of the old guard are dying, very sad indeed . That said, Lemmy didn't linger, which he'd have hated

Don't forget Philthy Animal Taylor died back in November - it wasn't the first line-up, nor the longest serving, but Motorhead to me was, and always will be, Lemmy, Philthy and Fast Eddie.
