7lb - the Excesses of Christmas

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

Well there went the diet!

Just been to my first post Christmas gym and weigh in since the parties and excesses started around Dec 10th and since that date I've put on half a stone or 7lb!

I'm right back on it now and want to be net down by the end of January!

How have the Christmas excesses impacted you and what, if anything, are you going to do about it?

"Have you had your post-Christmas massive poo? "

A freidn once took me out to dinner at Sketch, off Regents Street in London. 8 courses. The wine alone was £1,700.

I remember sitting on the toilet the following morning thinking,

This is the most expensive turd I've shat in my life.

It haven't affected me as it is all about eating loads as I do bodybuilding, in fact it helped me getting in more carbs the day

One pound of fat = 3,500 calories more than needed.

7lb = 24,500 calories more than needed.

That's 100 mince pies.

That's 100 divided by 17

That's roughly five mince pies per day.

You are forgiven.

Now go for a run.

I never weigh myself.. But do know I've gained weight this month.. As no exercise plus copious amounts of food have left my bottom going south and my waist band screaming for help.. My dog has also put on the pounds.. So back running for us... But next week

No Dan sorry. You have to take off what a man needs to sustain life first....

Roughly a man needs about 2,000 - 2,500 a day size and excercise dependent.

You won't break even unless you burn off MORE than you eat.

Make a note of your cal consumption and then work out what was burned off that.

Alternatively ... Eat TONS as much as you want of healthy food and move a bit then there's no need to count sod all.

I don't weigh myself so no idea how much.

My measure is my belt.

I nomally wear it on the 4th notch. If it gets to wearing it on the 3rd, it's time to eat better.

I am now on 3, so just clearing the last of the badnesses and it'll be serious head down weight loss.

I want to be back to notch 4 by the time we go away at the end of January

Haven't seen the inside of my gym for weeks. Stepped on scales yesterday put on six kilos in the month I've been off . Went to the gym yesterday and couldn't complete my usual routine. Woke up stiff this morning.

The land of grey peas and bacon

This is why I don't own scales and never will...I'm just going by clothes and standing naked in a mirror. The doctors wanted my weight for their records and I refused to be weighed. I don't want to know my weight as that will just lead me down the road again or obsession and possibly reigniting my eating disorder.
