not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

595 prisoners have been released incorrectly over the last decade or so.. includes murderers..

Someone should be locked up for this.

Did you know it's cheaper to send a boy to Eaton for a year than it is to keep a man incarcerated, or that it would cost less to put someone up at the Savoy for a year than to keep them in prison?

For the HUGE amount of money that's spent, you'd think we'd get better outcomes...

i know one of them, 6 months remand then got found innocent of charges.

Probably is way more than that tbh.

Fair point - but interestingly, the 'privately' run prisons are more open to new ways of working with prisoners.
