So what is everyones favorites Tarantino flick? Also name your favorite scene from said film.

To be specific, we are talking about these movies:

Reservoir Dogs

Pulp Fiction

Jackie Brown

Kill Bill (1/2)

Death Proof

Inglourious Basterds

Django Unchained

The Hateful Eight (if you've been fortunate enough to see it already, in which case I hate you)

For me, it's still Pulp Fiction and the "Say what" scene.

That was an epic fight scene! So visceral in such a confined space, they tore that place apart. That eyeball snatch though! Ahaha

Really gone downhill though IB and Django were nowhere near that standard imo.

True Romance, while great isn't fully a Tarantino film as he only wrote the script but it was directed by Tony Scott. I only listed the movies written & directed by him, of which there are eight (if you count Kill Bill as one). Also, The Hateful Eight is not a coincidence I think.

Everyones opinion is different but I got very bored during the first half 2nd half is better but still in my own opinion a lot better films this year that Ive seen Steve Jobs, The Revenant and Joy and thats just what Ive seen in the last week

Yeah I'm not sure his directing has ever been anything to write home about!

Pulp fiction I'll admit was wonderful but the others mmm never really gripped me although there's great dialogue in most of them, which is what I personally relate to tarantino films.

Well, in that case Jackie Brown is probably the tamest. I think the gratuitous violence in Tarantino movies is usually a bit easier to swallow since he laces it with humor.

Yeah you're absolutely right about that. To keep the thread concise I tried to limit the scope to what he considers his "official" works, since he's been involved in so many films from writing, to producing, to acting, etc. so you kind of have to draw a line somewhere. But let's be honest did you like From Dusk Till Dawn more than say Pulp Fiction?

Kill Bill Volume 1 is my favourite. And to be honest, I can't explain why. I generally dislike gratuitous gore in films, and a lot of the dialogue is quite cheesy. But I love it. It sparked my interest in Japanese culture. I even own a replica Hattori Hanzo katana. Volume 2 sucked, though.

Kill bill 2.... Kill bill 1 was OK but 2 was just... Errr sword slash sword slash sword slash.

In reality it was just an adult film of Japanese cartoons, inglorious bastards was not much better, good acting, some good dialogue but way to much gratuitous violence for the sake of it.

Unchained was more back to his best work but still not a patch on pulp fiction.

I honestly think pulp fiction was such a masterpiece so early on he's really really struggled to overcome it!

I love Tarantino's films. I can't say I have a favourite really. I struggle to anyway! I like the scene in kill bill (1 I think) with the crazy 88.

My least fave Tarantino film is inglorious basterds. I found it quite forgettable.

I find his films have some truly great moments and scenes of utter genius.

That said, he can ruin this genius by just going completely OTT with unnecessarily gratuitous violence.

I get this is part of his style, but I just feel that if he paired it back, just a little, his movies would be so much better for it.

Pulp is my favourite complete film, but Christoph Waltz steels the movie in the farm scene at the start of Inglorious.

The one's I've been subjected to watching,they're just to violent for me I can't get past that. I went to the cinema to watch Four Rooms many moons ago,I can honestly say if I'd have been by myself I would have walked after 10 mins. What an absolute pile of crock that was

I've seen The Hateful Eight already so HA HA! lol. Great film and a great twist at the end. Worth a watch for sure.

The Revenant put me to sleep! Lol. I agree with your opinion of The hateful eight isn't the best film of this year but certainly up there as one of them...had me hooked from start to finish.
