Yes amazon are great but I just wish that they would use their huge profits to start paying their employees decent wages and start paying business taxes.

It's not the fact the uk tax code is rubbish.......

It's good

Until you consider that various people have had to work Boxing Day on minimal wages and under 'complex' contract arrangements in order to achieve this.

This is where consumerism, commercialism and capitalism cross the line for me.

I actually like seeing shops closed for the day.

I like being in Europe on a Sunday when you can't shop to any great degree.

It forces us back to relaxing strolls, family time, feet up time, lunches with friends etc

I like that

I wouldn't work for an employer that didn't pay me what I thought I was worth. If they are not paying business tax and you have irrefutable evidence of this, please pass it on to HMRC tout suite!

Next you'll be demanding people stop using ISAs to avoid tax.

They offset thier profits, so they aren't making a profit in the uk so no tax on it.

Then the business is a lower tax region (Ireland or Luxembourg) is where the profit is made and taxed

I've ordered things on a Saturday evening and they've been here early Sunday morning. Really impressed with their service.

I know that their tax arrangements are within UK law (the law is an ass) but it would be nice if they used that saving to pay their employees decent living wages, guaranteed hours and a good working environment. Same goes for sports direct.

you have to actually accept the prime deal they don't just automatically do it. Then you can cancel before first payment is taken
