Obstical course racing

Just wondering if any of you lovely guys and gals take part in any obstical course racing! For those who don't undo it's tough mudder type events.

I love them and booking my races for this year is looking problematic!

I keep meaning to try a Tough Mudder, but they charge for everything from parking to spectators. Just seems a money making machine.

I did 2 Nuclear events this year and have 2 booked for next year, contemplating a third.

Tough mudder do take the piss! Properly charge for everything, never done nuclear, looking at doing Spartan, ram run, and mudnificent 7 this year

Yeah. I'm a regular runner with these now. Never done tough mudder. It so expensive! There are many others to have a go at.

Spartan is on my list for this year, along with Bigfoot, badges mucker, dirty dozen, nuts, nuclear and ram run. And those are the ones I can remember.....

One of my friends does loads and has been asking me to do one with her for ages so I'm hopefully doing Rough Runner in September. It;s not as extreme as some, but it's based on Wipeout and other TV programs and looks ridiculously good fun

Come do Nuclear with me. I need someone tall to pull me up the half pipe! Annnnnnd it has the 30ft death slide into deep water. Go on! You know you wanna!!!

I love Nuclear because of the free jelly babies at various points of the course. The marshalls are amazing. The free warm shot (gin) when you finish. The free tea when you finish. The free cake when you finish. And most of all the heated showers and changing rooms for when you finish.

Nuclear has a set of monkey bars I really want a go at. I believe they are amongst the longest in the world?

They are yes. You can get in the Guiness Book of Records if you conplete them.

I saw the hands of the first guy to ever complete them. Ripped to shreds wasn't the words!! They were insanely blistered.

I looked at them, laughed, did 3, fell off, laughed even more and trotted off through the mud.
