Cheese and onion soup with pasta!

Got heaps of discounted grated cheesey bits yesterday, and thought I could make a soup with it.

Although tasty, it was a bit on the thin side.

Hence I thought I would thicken it up with some little pastas for soup, and it is looking very yummy indeed!

Can't wait to have some!

What is everyone having tonight?

I went to M&S and I'm having steak with peppercorn sauce and chunky chips!

I bought salad for lunch tomorrow while I was there and I swam 30 lengths to compensate!

Just had fillet of beef that's been sitting in the fridge for a couple of days with a ras el hanout rubbed in, son cooked it over a fire pit and did couscous and a chickpea curry with it. Yummy scrummy.

Im starting with scallops on black pudding drizzled with a balsamic sauce.

For main there will be fillet of lamb. Pink and sliced and bedded on a light mint coulis... accompanied by potato dauphinoise and buttered baby asparagus.

dessert is a neopolitan cheesecake based with limoncello ginger biscuit and topped with maraschino cherries in liquer....

Cheese to follow with grapes and apples.

A pinot grigio blush

Coffee xx

My big sis cooked a Sunday Roast... roast beef and plenty of veg. And a lemon meringue pie for pud.

I think she's worried that I won't eat properly if I'm cooking for myself. That's not true, of course, but it's not in my best interest for her to find that out.

Last night I was sitting on the sofa watching TV when I heard my partner's voice from the kitchen.

"What would you like for dinner my Love?...

Chicken, beef or lamb?"

I said, "Thank you, I'll have chicken."

Reply "You're having soup, I was talking to the cat."
