Saw some Autobiography's in WH Smith's today and wondered who the hell they were. Turned out they were 'famous' on youtube. If you decided, how famous would someone have to be to be able to release an Autobiography?

if I had a great story to tell it wouldnt matter...but I wouldnt read many of the celebrity autos..especially ones of these b listers etc...in 20years time most will be like wtf is Jordan?...

Don't think it has anything to do with fame, but how interesting a life you have had. I read one about a woman in the Yorkshire dales and one about an old school!doctor.

I don't think there's any statute covering it. As far as I'm aware, anyone is free to publish an autobiography regardless of the degree of fame they possess.

It's amazing the faces you see on books, if you're having a nose around.

The most obscure tv faces, generally half recognisable - but not always.

Like that lady who does the weather. Or gardening people.

Must be difficult for the actual writers, novelists etc trying to make their way
