China has accused the US of "serious provocation" after it flew B-52 bombers near one of the disputed Spratly Islands in the South China Sea.

Why is china building "secret" islands? Is it so they can control who comes in?

The Spratleys have been contested for years, now China has the muscle to do what they want.

they are not secret islands...... and its not the airspace that is the important thing as such....

basically it is a territorial waters things..... because that part of the sea is supposedly rich in oil.....

countries flying close to others airspace is actually fairly common..... russian warcraft do it a fair bit of the uk coast.... and uk jets have been scrambled as a response more than once

I looked tsipras Tweety to the Turkish prime minister after thered shot down the Russian fighter for a supposedly 11 second incursion...

It was something along the line of, it's a good job Greece isn't quite as keen on defending air space as Turkish fighters have had 174 unauthorised incursion into Greek airspace this year!.
