Dont they just piss you off?!

Im sick of messages that arent personal, but make out like they have read your profile. Quotes like 'ive read your profile and you sound right up my street'.. well my profile says 'just looking to see whats about'

I could have stated on it that i have every STI under the sun and id still get some plank who says i sound sexy.

Then when i delete the message i get a lot of abuse back, well in my opinion if they haven taken the time to read my profile and type a personalised message why should i even bother to reply? Am i out of order?

We do try and reply to all messages, but I've (Lynne) decided this year that those like you say who have obviously not read our profile are either not getting a reply or if I do bother I tell them "read our profile first, as you obviously haven't". Not had any abuse yet and most either reply with an apology or just delete our message.

Yes ive had the same, no idea why people copy and paste half their profile to anyone in a message, perhaps they like to show they can use a computer

I dont get abuse back though if i delete it

If i feel the person is genuine or at least made a reference to a picture or something then i'll gladly reply.

I just think well if they havent made an effort why should i?

Its a nightmare when i upload new pictures and i get crazy amounts of messages in one go, whats worse is that in my inbox i read the most recently sent ones first, so the people who have sent messages first end up being last.

Don't sweat it. Delete the message. Delete the abuse. Even better delete the message and block.

I don't mind the cut and paste messages.

It's hardly and interview for a presigious job.

It's someone wanting to meet for sex - maybe one day it'll be someone you are really hot for who prefers to send out his messages en masse.

Let's face it - some of the females here complain about having to answer zillions of messages yet blokes don't seem to moan too much about having to prowl , trawl , search and contact.

Seems to me they've come up with a way of making the site usable within their daily routine.

Initiative.....love it.

Couple of messages sorts the wheat from the chaff or talk to him on the phone.

It's not really a steaming turd through your letterbox.

No you're not out of order.

Some men play the numbers game because they don't get messages back. I can only see it making things worse mass mailing. Admin should limit the number of messages you can send with the same content in it.

if i get a copied and pasted message i erm delete

if i get a message with i know they havent read my profile i erm delete

i delete alot more now as im sick of being such a prissy

There are worse things than cut and paste messages that happen on the site, I'd normally reply back if I was interested and then see how they come across (excuse the pun) in the next few.

I have had one person whom I introduced to this site, who copied and pasted my entire profile at the time, and only made the neccessary changes to make it a male's profile.

He even left in it personal information/reference that only applied to me!

When I confronted him about it, he removed the personal stuff, and that was it.

I felt he was downright creepy, and decided not to have further contact with him.

When I informed him as such, the creepy sod had the nerve to respond in the line that it must had been something to do his profile!

You were not far wrong, dear!

Makes me chuckle when people send you a message which is just their profile copy and pasted

And they attach pics......the public ones that are on their profile

Ok well if we are contacting some one then its a deff NO NO ...Read there profile and take the time to write them a personal message .......BUT....We get such a huge volume of email a lot of the time asking us the same questions we get sick of writting the same answear 20 times a day .....so for some common questions we do have some written up answears in word to send for a reply. Tho 90% of all our mail gets a personal reply and if we do put a copy and paste part in we put it at the end of the email telling the person we have dun so and why we do it.

Sometimes we get so much email we cant cope by the time we have replied to the first 10/15 on the list there all ready replying back and we still have anouth 20-30 to get thro.

But at least we reply to ALL our mail we have noticed the number of rude people on the site who we take the time to write a nice email to only to get no reply at all not from them not even a no thank you.

Cut and paste messages are a nuisance, especially when it's obvious that they haven't read my profile. Don't they realise how they're shooting themselves in the foot? If they're too lazy to read my profile, then they're probably lazy in bed as well, so they're definitely off my 'maybe' list. I just delete without replying, and ignore/report any resulting abuse.
