False eyelashes??

Trim to size. Apply glue and leave alone for a full minute before applying to eyes

I tend to apply the glue, put a coat of mascara on my lashes then attach the false lashes- use a cuticle stick and tweezers

my daughter put some on me - didnt look right at all - but then i hardly wear make-up and think the difference was just too much - but i felt the same when she tried those separate ones that you put at the outer edges -

Get some Eyelure glue in the bigger bottle, it's better than the stuff in the tiny tubes that come with the lashes. (and it's only about £3 and lasts forever).

Pool the glue on the plastic packaging of the lashes, and then drag the lash edge through. As above, leave for a minute at least before trying to stick.

I like to aim by sliding up my lashes towards the lashline. Pinch the falsies down onto your real lashes using your fingers.

Don't try it for the first time 15 minutes before you go out. Practice first or you will get stressed and it won't work! You'll get better the more you do it. x

Be careful which lash glue you use if latex intolerant.. As many contain latex..

If you're not 100%, do them FIRST, then you can start again without making a mess!

I usually get mine done for me as individual lashes because I like them big...but then again my sister is the beauty tech so I only pay costs. Definitely don't use the glue they send you, it's poor quality and if you have a couple of drinks you don't want to look like a spider is crawling off down your face when the glue gives in. If you find them fiddly use tweezers to put them in place, after applying the glue wait for it to go tacky so it doesn't slide once in place and a tip I got given was if you're struggling to get them in place snip the strip in half and apply half at a time as they're easier to manage

Practice makes perfect I wear them most days.Never had to trim mine DowN and I buy a black glue which works better than any I've ever bought from the warehouse . All I can say is practice ...practice...

I wear a lot of lashes in my job. Usually three pairs of long dense ones.

Don't use the free crappy glue. If you live near a wig shop, get white or black wig glue for lace front wigs.

Makeup artists use Duo which is a tenner for a small tube but it's the same stuff for a fraction of the price.

Only way to get lashes to work is practice. I've been wearing them onstage for 12 years and still have the occasional battle with the little buggers

I would echo all advice here. Important points I'd reiterate are:

- Place eyelashes on eyelid before glueing to measure for size. You don't want it coming really close to the inner corner, cos that's where it'll stick into your skin. I trim mine with nail clippers. :D

- Get some Revlon eyelash glue in a tube. Mine lasts for two days when I use lightweight lashes. So strong.

- Use tweezers to put them on, as close to your natural lash line as you can.

Here is the video that really helped me when I was starting out: https://youtu.be/2_c0LI-gr64

But I'd say if this is your first time wearing them, AND you're going to be wearing them in a potentially anxious environment, be prepared to be able to "feel" them all evening (remember the first time you ever wore mascara, and you could just.... FEEL it all the time? It's like that. Lol)

Good luck!

xxx
