I'm threatening to boycott the family Christmas dinner this year. In feeling the strain of looking after children for long periods in time. If the dog goes into labour I have a valid reason

This if you are going to be alone this christmas, this is a really great thing to do, either a homeless shelter or something like that, invite a few peeps into your home (oh noes, they will be smack heads that still everything..... they won't be)

Spent a few christmas days helping out when I was alone, and guess what, I wasn't alone. Now I have the fecking family coming this year, and I am cooking again!

I feel a little ungrateful but I hate heading home for xmas, all I get is when are you going to settle down and give me a granddaughter and have to cook for between 10-14 people too. I'm like the unpaid help or something but I'll do it and moan like hell to my friends in that very british way we all do

Just to update on this, had a great afternoon with the guys, we sat in my car because of the rain, but the drink flowed an the hot food went down a treat. The best end to the day,one took up offer of going home to his loving family. Happy Christmas every one.

Christmas for me was typical, get together with my family, have a nice time having dinner together, open presents, watch a little TV and drinks...then home to my empty house, and be reminded of that ongoing, gaping void in my life I've never quite been able to fill...

On my own now , don't get my children until tomorrow , that's when Xmas starts for me . Although it has been lonely this Christmas - not bursting into song , but I've had a few long moments too miss being with somebody ,
