Did you know that one of the first vibrators was called the 'Manipulator' and was steam powered! It was used solely by doctors to alleviate the symptoms of a dreaded illness called 'female hysteria'. The symptoms of which included anxiety, crying fits, surliness! the use of such a device was considered a last resort and women suffering with the illness were advised to ride rickety trains or ride horses!

Hmmmmmmm Im not sure if it was invented to cure spinsters and widows of hysteria. I have a sneaky suspicion it was invented to relieve the doctors from aching arms.......all that thrusting. Poor bastards.
