Need help naming a dog

By *abel-30 OP   Woman

middle of no-where

Help please I've tried all day and nothing seems right.

I've fostered a 4 year old spaniel and he's never had a name.

I already have Bonnie & Clyde, yogi & boo boo, Barry and Oliver. Recently rehomed a Ronnie and reggie so it's to soon to reuse them.

I'm coming up totally blank... Help!!!

Something with one syllable as it will be easier for him to learn as if u have a long name you will end up shortening it.

Being a Spaniel, he is from Spain ... You can tell by the accent of his bark. "El Wooffo!"

So he just be called Juan.

Which is what he does in the park every time you take him for a walk.

Yeah pretty shitty, failed gun dog so just left outside at his first home, sold to someone else who didn't like the fact he wasn't toilet trained, and to lazy to it themselfs so kept him in a shed for the last 3 and a half years. Only looked to rehome him as they were emigrating.

I've named his deefa after a suggestion on here, should take him a few days to learn it. Get him house trained, my lot will learn him some manners and find him his last home after new year

Awwww poor little sod but least he's on the right track now. What bread is he ? I've just taken on anther rescue staffy myself. Had him 2 weeks now a real big boy to but so placid and impeccably well behaved in fact to much so. My other staffs bullying him and she's less than half his size but I'm sure he will come out of his shell sooner or later as I'm sure he will stop flinching expecting a crack when you put a hand out to stroke him. I swear some people should be torcherd in the same way they have torcherd the animals they've owned it makes my blood boil it really does the sick fucks

He's a sprocker spaniel (springer X cocker)

Well it's only been a day and I'm austoundes by how well he's doing. From never being socialised and mainly isolated to coming here with me, my son and my own 6 dogs, he's never faultered. He's already one of them, and all the issue the previous person( I can't even say owner) said he has I've not seen any of them. Time will tell I suppose.

Just makes you so angry when you think why couldn't this have been done sooner when you realised you couldn't be bothered with him anymore

I've always found you need to be careful when naming a dog which is to be rehomed as it can be pretty off putting for a potential new owner. I used to foster rescued Springers and had Diesel, Micah, Sophie and Murphy beautiful dogs. We now have Bowie but he's here to stay

He's properly settled in and found his feet. Don't see his house training being any sort of issue, but then he has 7 showing him what to do. Trying to tech him how to play with toys as he's never had any before it difficult but he will get there.

He's defo more a mans dogs that women's as he totally adores my son, and will only let him check him over( eyes, mouth, ears ect)

Lol mines all have there own bed but there is usually 4 in one and 3 in the other. He's cuddled up to Clyde, Reggie and boo boo at the moment after his crazy hour in the park.
