Now that people devote so much time to their technology and focus on their phones, more than their companions when out in public, how long until it's at the next level?

People will have a shagbot, a Droid that gives them sexual pleasure and company. And it will be near universally accepted by others. Flesh will soon be very realistic, can be programmed to give you any and every pleasure.

20 years, or sooner?

"Like the series on C4 recently?"

They were pretty advanced models - I'm thinking more of any odd robotic tech that could be your sexual companion pleasure giver. Humans was the show on channel 4, I think.

More advanced than a blow up doll, with greater realism and robotic core technology.

I realised how rude I'd got, using my phone instead of paying attention to the person I was with. Now it lives in my bag and I don't bother with it unless on my own.

In my opinion shagging a robot would not be much different to having a wank.

When I have sex (make love) to a lady I want her to enjoy it too, it's not a selfish thing for me.

The second annual conference on Love and Sex With Robots was last month. I didn't attend

I do see a change in people today, where they are very comfortable with technology, like phones and could see people being very happy with a robot.

In a world where sex-bots exist, and are socially acceptable, a lot of ladies on fab will wonder if their inbox is broken.

As a lot of single men will stop chasing them and use the alternative.

Anyone watch futurama? There is an episode (3:15) called "I dated a robot", with a public information film where society collapses because men no longer try to impress women.

No I imagine I'd try it. But the fun of sex for me is the raw passion and unpredictability.

I don't always know what I want to so I couldn't program a robot. That's monotony right there xx

You may be able to select general tastes with the robot as well as it playing random or trying something new Vara.

I can see that many people - especially younger - would feel fine about having them, especially if they can do more than a phone does. I've not taken a teddy bear to bed for many years but maybe would have a cuddly robot - who knew the bed rules and kept the duvet over me. And was my alarm clock, waking me with some play.

Yep they'd be banned in an instant because men wouldn't need to bother with anything, I could do with a Lucy Liu Bot lol xx
