how to delete twitter

ok everyone, help needed here. I want to delete my twitter account on my pc but can't. have tried everything I can think of. any sensible comments are welcome.

I did mine last month easily enough from a PC - just googled & followed instructions

I've tried through twitter site and at one stage (can't remember which ) the link that takes you to another page just comes up as page does not exist.

I deleted my account a few months ago by following links on twitter but they leave it active for 30 days in case you change your mind.
