3 1/2 hours on the M4.

Sadly there was a fatal accident at 4am and it only cleared at 12.30. R.I.P to the guy who died by a reckless driver just before Christmas.

Iv never been stuck in traffic that long before.

What's the longest you have been stuck in traffic ?

Camberley/London

Was stuck for 6 hours without the slightest movement some years back on m25 after a pile up. Left the car, walked to a service station (was about 6 miles away) ate and came back to see the traffic had yet to start moving.

About 6 hours. It was when I live in NYC and my family was taking a weekend trip up north. We made the mistake of leavening at 4pm on a Friday

RIP that gentleman

Come to think of it I don't think I've ever been stuck in any really bad traffic jams. I've only been driving about a year so I'm sure I've got this to look forward too

Once sat on the M56 for 6 hours following an accident where a father and his children lost their lives. Following that I never moan about being stuck in traffic as you never really know what has caused it

What's the longest you have been stuck in traffic ?

About six hours after my Granddads funeral about two years ago. I'd left about 9pm from Essex to get back to Oxford because I had uni at 10am in the morning.

M25 closed Westbound due to roadworks overnight. Missed the diversion North, so figured I'd go through London instead since I roughly knew the ring road.

Crashed lorry on the ringroad in London. Six hours later...

8 hours coming back from Cornwall. About two miles outside of Bristol a chap decided to climb up onto the bridge and threaten to throw himself off. The Motorway was shut completely while they tried to talk him down (he jumped in the end) a bad day for everybody concerned.

Had reservations in Bath that were sadly missed buy hey ho him jumping put it into perspective.

.

Had he previously put a "look at the size of my cock thread" on here!.

I don't think I've ever really been in big hold up, although I did once pass one on the m5 that was 20 miles long... People were out playing football and cooking and I thought, how long have they been there?

I don't get stuck in traffic, as I ride a motorcycle. Apart from the time I worked for a furniture company, then it was 3 hours going through Birmingham, pre m6 toll road days.

2 and a half hours to go 2 miles on the M25 a couple of weeks ago

Couldn't even see a reason for it when I'd got through it
