Any advice my youngest wants one for Christmas?

key differences are screen size and memory, unlike most tablets you can't easily connect an sd card to an ipad so what you buy is all you will ever have, if used for music apps and photos it can soon runout and become a problem.

SanDisk now do a wifi USB stick that can be connected to both IPads and IPhones and there is also the Leef IBridge which connects via the lightning connector. Both can be used to back up photographs from the IPad/IPhone and both can be used to play music stored on them.

I too would say Samsung Tab over Ipad.

However I recently bought my son an Octo core,16gb 10.6 inch DragonTouch tablet, £89 reduced from £330, from Amazon. Had a play and much better than any Apple tatt.

Maybe see what Amazon has. Android is definitely the way forward.
