Gerinid Meteor shower

Good morning Fabbers , friends and forumites .

This evening we will be treated to a heavenly display. The Gerinid Meteor Shower.

The nights sky will sparkle with shooting stars . Pooch and I will be sat a top the Great Orme to witness this celestial fireworks display.

Ita well worth a peek.

can be a great display, enjoy them fella!

I expect I'll give them a miss this year, peak time is the early hours and it's a school day (and the forecast is for cloud here anyway )

This time of year is excellent for stargazing with the long dark nights and Orion such a dominant feature in the Southern skies, one of the few upsides of Winter!

It will be at it height at 2 am but they should be visible from 10pm onward

Damn - cloudy as sin at the moment and looks like staying that way..

If it were clearer, I might have popped up the Orme as well, in case there was anything nice to look at..!

If only the dark nights didn't have to happen in winter, when it's so cold and wet.... Well, you know what I mean...
