Best red rose wine

Someone suggested barefoot pink moscato or whatever it is so I bought some and it's like drinking syrup

Sooooo sweet and sickly

I'm looking for something not vinegary and not sweet

I've tried echo falls but there's so many different ones it's confusing

A pinot grigio rose would be drier or a shiraz rose

White Zinfandel is a rosé.

Pinot Grigio rose is a much nice rose. It's much drier and not sickly sweet like most rose is.

Go for the lightest pink you can find. Typically the lighter the colour the drier they will be. My favourite is Mirabeau Cotes de Provence Rosé.

I tried a tiny bottle of Mateus last night,,,,yuk

Vinegary to me

Gonna go looking for some new ones today

Didn't like the barefoot one that someone suggested but maybe a need a dry one

Being a newbie for wines

I'm use to drinking spicy rum

If you like rosè try our favourite, Anjou, a very good and inexpensive wine, a hint of sweetness and fruity flavours, fantastic cold. The Moscatel you mentioned we find waay too sweet also, probably better as a spritzer.

Tesco and Lidl in their specialised wine selection stock these, heard Waitrose do too.

A tip. If you're ever in France be sure to get plenty of Anjou rosè as it's quality is a bit better than we've found here and at a fraction of the price too.

Not normally a rose drinker however my view is:

Chase do a rose - great bottle

Head for Provençal rose - dry and good structure - pale is best

Anjou is ok - can be a bit sweet - good for rose spritzer

The most interesting I've ever had was a German Pinot noir Johann Wolf

Has a slight spritz on the palate, good acidity and slight fruit sweetness. Only 11.5% and even better on 10 pounds from Waitrose

We could be biased, but just about any rosé from the Languedoc is fine by us....

Producing three times as much wine as Australia and NZ combined, there's plenty of choice...

I've been trying different ones but ever pay more than 6 quid cos knowing my luck it,ll be another shite one

I quite like echoe falls but didn't realise there was so many different one

I'm far from a wine buff but I've had two really nice rose wines in the last few years but one I can't remember the name one of.

The other was Black Tower Rose and it was a real surprise just how nice it was.

In general though I must agree that the white Zinfandel's are excellent.

The barefoot pink moscato is a dessert wine so it would be sweeter. The white zinfandel is a lot nicer. Blossom Hill do a nice one too all not to expensive
