"Just let them act as a form of natural selection When it comes to children dying... ? No m'dear I was being flippant. And yes, children being run over is no laughing matter so I stand corrected x " Although my point stands for adults that use them and should know better. Some belter was actually using one around Sainsburys the other day

"Hasn't the CPS already advised against using them in public places?" Yes technically they are against some 150 year old law.

" my son saved up for a really long time but one and within a week it actually broken inside, even though it was one of the more expensive ones. The suppliers are in China and are refusing to do anything about it, and say they can no longer import them. We are only cove_ed by China's trading standards which cannot help us. My son is left with a hoverboard that he cannot use at all. Incidentally we only let him use it in what we felt were safe locations away from the pedestrian areas. "Just let them act as a form of natural selection " Unfortunately kids need more common sense, remember those trainers with a roller skate in the heel. Think how many kids have been inju_ed falling down the stairs. Roller skates + stairs, can anybody else spot the hazard and risks? State/hover board + Road, any dangers there? Common sense is natures survival instinct, far too many kids are lacking these days.

"Best ban bicycles they're always having crashes So are motorcycles, shall we ban them as well?" It seems what is requi_ed for ownership is appropriate training and a rule book on usage I kite surf , that really is a genuinely dangerous hover board which really does fly . I now teach the sport but I had the correct tuition before I ever ventu_ed into the sea and sadly have witnessed the state of some who have not, just as motorbike riders should , and in my opinion all cyclists should at an early age

"No need to ban them it's already illegal on pavements. As for the open you eyes comment that won't help visually impai_ed people. Same as bikes, no need to ban them just keep them away from pedestrians. Parks, roads fine just like any motorised device. I'm sure if I did 12 mph down a pavement on my bike I'd be a hazard to myself and other pedestrians." According to the crown prosecution service these things are banned anywhere in public, can only be used on private land or authorized areas. Bit harsh I think but who am I to argue with the powers that be.
