That when my Mum told me my cat had been taken in by a lovely but lonely old lady down the road what she really meant was that it had been squished by a car

My son didn't realise you had to put money in a bank account to have a card to use at the cash machine he thought you just got one when you old enough.

I wish I was 5 again.
