Hello my lovelies!

I've noticed we seem to get an ever increasing number of threads started with the intention of getting pics fabbed - either people just asking for fabs for their own pics or starting a 'lets fab each other's pics thread! - which now seem to come up daily!

Whilst I occasionally take part in these for 'something to do' I've never started one - and I'm not quite sure why getting pictures fabbed is clearly so important to some people!

As well as threads many people ask for fabs on their statuses!

So - my question is - why??

Why does it matter how many fabs a pic gets? And if it's a confidence thing - will it really increase your confidence if you only get fabs because you blatantly asked for them or set up a thread knowing people would fab your pics out of 'niceness '?

Not trying to offend anyone - I'm just genuinely curious! Xx

Um, I like getting them, I guess it is a confidence thing for me, to be honest I'm always surprised when I get a fab, especially if it's from someone on my hotlist.

It's not the be all and end all for me but I guess if I've taken the time to put (in my opinion) a nice looking photo up its nice to see others enjoying them but yeah for me it's a confidence thing X

Apart from joining in the banter on the thread and just general chatting it is one way of getting yourself noticed, Either by people on the thread or if you make it to the most fabbed pages,

I'm here for a laugh, escapism and to feel good about myself.

I take pictures that I like. I like it when people say nice things about me and my pics.

I join in fab-a-pic threads because I get fabs and I get to perve.

Occasionally I get a bit of a chat as a result.

I enjoy it.

I don't like and won't give fabs when people ask for them though. I can't see the point.

I have made top of page 1 men's pics a couple of times and it's nice

I did a post recently called 1000 Fabs about one of my pics reaching a 1000 fabs.

I've got others that have passed that amount, god knows why, but I deliberately did not post on any of the fabbing frenzy posts and didn't put any status up asking for fabs.

It was a little game to see if I could get the pic to a 1000, it was on 997 for bloody ages

It finally made it and I was slightly chuffed with myself because I hadn't asked for the fabs.

It isn't going to change my life the number of fabs my pics get but it's a fun game to play.

its advertising getting yourself out there ,cherry and Dennis eg love taking pics in public places they love the risk and want people ,rus to know it ,some want to feel they are popular ,some just believe in their egos and some like their egos massaged

It's all a bit of fun (well it should be, sad if it's something people need) I think it makes a fun thread, maybe gets you looking at people's pictures that you may not have. Like to appreciate a good picture

It's photo shop the thing that allows you to make yourself look a lot younger/prettier or a lot slimmer? If it is then I wouldn't want to use it anyway as I think it's dishonest!

If someone it's planning to meet me I want them to see what I actually look like, not what I wish I looked like!

I have had messages off people asking me why they can't fab my pictures and if I could change my settings so they can fab them. I really don't know why it is important for them to do this as I am not interested in receiving fabs.

There does seem to be a lot of people that use them to boost confidence perhaps. Personally we put pics up to entice people who may want to meet us. In all honestly couldn't care less how many people fab them. Does smack of desperation a bit to us when we see people asking people to fab. Like an earlier poster said, in our view it negates the point of it surely if U have to encourage people to do so ?

I like getting fabs because i know I'm not the only one that likes my pics. I wouldn't "beg" for fabs or start a thread about it though. I like appreciation without coercion.

I enjoy looking at pics and I'll fab the ones I particularly enjoy to show my appreciation. It's easier than messaging each time and saying "hey, great new pic!"

I never ask for or expect Fabs myself, but it feels nice when I do get them. I'm very shy in real life and quite invisible really. A fab is a safe way of receiving positive attention without the discomfort of a face-to-face interraction.

Having this online persona has been quite liberating for me

Oh yeah some of those as well. I would imagine theirs a number of pics on here that have been altered to make them look better, whether they come from men, women, couples or a tv/to. The initial comment was about the top men having huge cocks. To which I meant it looks like some had been altered.

The altering of pics is more common practice these days due to the media doing it to make famous people look good.

If something which should be a straight line - wall, window frame, door - is bendy then they've deliberately altered it to look thinner/bigger boobs/bigger cock. I've seen this many times before on the most fabbed list and I'm always amazed people don't notice

Hadn't really given it much thought really - I think I saw it as a bit irrelevant, like 'liking' something banal on FB.

Fabbed a bit when we first came on but haven't done it for ages and TBH really good pics are pretty rare. (Mine are definitely not, so not whining!)

Jeez you guys. Its a feature that allows us to show appreciation. If some see it as more than that, so what? I like fabbing. I like receiving fabs. That's as far as my interest goes. I never really pay attention to who's fabbed my pics but I do fab pics if anyone has really caught my eye. Doesn't usually mean I want to meet them, I'm just saying I like their pics. We love reviving fabs , and it's a mixture of pride , acceptance , appreciation and validation . Throw in a bit of vanity and that sums it up .

All our pics are taken in situ , real , never enhanced , and from messages we receive daily , our pics make lots of other people very happy .

The fact that so many people out there love our pics , makes us happy too .

Do we feel there's something missing in our lives because we feel like this ? Hell no ! We aren't harming anyone and we are enjoying ourselves . Now and again we will say on our profile we have posted some new pics , fab them if you like them . And we may even start a fab me thread . Do we care if this makes some people think we are attention seekers ? Do we fuck !

We have an absolute ball on fab , and take lots of pics depicting this fun . Plenty of people love them . We won't change as we are just having too much fun the way it is .

Back where I belong

We all want to be liked and having your pictures fabbed, shows people have actually checked you out. Ok they may not actually like you, but they find your pictures attractive - hope that makes sense. It is 3,50 am, bloody insomnia lol

For a single guy being on the front page of top fabled really increases the number of messages (goes up to about 10-15 first messages a day while you're up there).

Which is handy, I some times delete and reupload a pic I know is popular if I'm going somewhere for the weekend and looking for a meet without much notice as it tends to help

Ah I didn't think about that before, that's why some delete & reupload, makes sense

I had 2000 fabs on a pic once. It had been public for about a year I think. It didn't make me feel good or inflate my ego. It wasn't a particular sexy or hot pic,just me in a black lace dress in front of a mirror. I only put it up to show my body shape and size.
