I don't believe in regrets. There may be things I could have done better (or avoided altogether), however our whoops moments make us who we are just as much as our yay moments. We just need to learn from them.

Crikey, that was a little too philosophical for this time in the morning!

My motto is 'live for today, no regrets'

Sure there must be somethings I regret but I don't dwell on them so I don't remember them, what's the point in thinking 'oh I could have done this'

If I wanted to play that game I could say 'if I had not have gone out with my ex husband when he asked then...' But then I wouldn't have my children.

No I don't look back only forwards

I agree that you look forward and make the rest of your life better. You learn from your mistakes and make them learning experiences. Live for today as the future is tomorrow.

You didn't, you weren't to know.

My regret is having a relationship with a psychopath. That's my only one.

Selling my old Alfa GTV 3.2. That car was special and incredibly rare.

Selling my highly modified, 575bhp Sierra Cosworth.

One other that I won't mention in the forums.

I'm more of a look forward person but I do wish that I hadn't worked so hard when I was younger so that I could have spent more time with my children as they were growing up. However, I now look forward to seeing my children and grandchildren and have a great time with them.

Don't do that to yourself I'm sure it's not true and he loved you. I don't think he would want you to burden yourself with those kind of feelings.

I don't regret anything, but I definitely view the negative experiences as an opportunity to learn something about how not to do things in the future.

I could have been nicer to a couple of folk, I could have not become involved in some severely murky Shit in my twenties, I could have gotten a better education or higher paid job...coulda woulda shoulda.

Whatever path we choose, we always ponder the alternatives, it's human nature but when it comes down to it, I don't regret a single decision I made, I'm here and me because of them and that's good enough for me

No you didn't , don't think like that, no one was to know. He'll know now , as before , that you love him.

My failings....ouch...around the divorce and failing my kids. Realise now I haven't and didn't, but took it bad for them for a while. Others too, but I'm stronger and happier now after each .

And not meeting Miss Knitter .

I try not to have any regrets. I think a person could go a little insane if they have too many regrets. You can't change what went down in the past. Life's just one big learning experience. The key is to not keep making the same mistakes over and over again. Learn from the things you've done in the past, be that good or bad.

Out of every regret, there is usually something positive to be found.

"Out of every regret, there is usually something positive to be found."

Very true. Probably took me a while to realise this though.

All there is is NOW. The past and the future don't exist. Don't get too hung up on either.

See, the funny thing about regret is it's better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't.
