Premier inns are nicer than travelodges though they are cheaper. Sometimes use best western ones as well.

Premier Inn has gone down in my choice of hotels. Because of the good night guarantee they have very little tolerance for noise late at night. Not good when you come back from a swingers club with some friends in the early hours of the morning. Park Inn hotels and Travelodge much more tolerant of noise levels.

I dont think any hotel tolerates late night noise its not just you staying there.. quite selfish in fact to think its acceptable to be loud late at night.. and yep i work in a hotel

Most have decent soundproofing xxx Not that i make much noise myself xxx Depends if the other people are screamers xxx

People tend to forget that!

To answer the OP's question I tend to find the larger, busy airport hotels are accessible, reasonable cost wise & flexible.

I'm always astonished that people make so much noise outside of your door even, let alone when they're in a room. When traveling, perhaps flying and jet lagged,,it should be assumed that every guest should be undisturbed by others. At all times. Have parties etc in places other than hotel rooms please.

Now, what was the question -

Best hotel for meets. Any are potentially fine but I've not used Travelodge for a couple of years as their rooms seemed to become even more basic.

I'm not a fan of restricted access to guest room areas of hotels, such as for door key holders only. But most city centre hotels have this now.

I think just book by budget and facilities, getting the best you can for your money. I'm noise sensitive, so if I'm sleeping over, I'd choose a quiet venue too.

Stayed at Park Inn and Travelogue many times never had any complaints. However you only have to have a normal conversation (nothing too excessive) at Premier Inn and the staff are knocking on the door telling you to keep the noise down.....wonder if it's Premier Inn you work for? Lol.

I'd shy away from Travelodge, simply because in the small print, they don't guarantee you'll get a room, even if you booked and paid for one.

I rarely have cause for complaints at Premier Inn. They can be pricey at short notice - especially at weekends.

However, I'll be staying in one this Xmas Eve - only £39 and they are serving full English brekky on Xmas morning - yum!

Holiday Inn's are good & if you check out before midnight it's a flat rate of £50.

I used a Hilton recently & it was lovely - the bed was huge

Premier Inn,travelodge,Holiday Inn,all pretty much the same,cheap enough,basic and clean

I found Ibis had the most uncomfortable beds ever,may as well have been laying on a plank of wood
