Stunned, shocked and totally outraged!

NHS in crisis, pensioners starving and freezing and these scrounging parasites have the gall to make a case for a lifestyle they can't afford and the taxpayer is picking up the bill for! Something is very wrong here.

I don't have a TV, so googled it quickly - sounds like stupid, trashy TV to me, so my argument would be that if it offends you, and doesn't benefit you in any way, then don't watch it, simple.

Why are you shocked and outraged?

The more children they have the more benefits they will receive.

Channel 5 seems to have produced a number of programmes all with the phrase "on benefits" in the title. I haven't watched any so I can't comment but they do seem rather obsessed.

Well I think the small minority of benefit claimants who work the system are outrageous but I wouldn't want to watch a tv show about them.

Possibly, and then gets them what, exactly? I don't watch programs like this, Jeremy Kyle, X Factor, Big Brother, Celebrity etc - because they're trash, if this one is OFFENSIVE trash, then why watch it at all?

At least turning your back on it denies the people involved with making it the dignity of your concern.

I used to look in the dustbin of modern TV, upon seeing what was inside, I stuck the lid on, and never looked back.

My family and I stopped watching regular tv a few years ago to avoid the adverts and garbage shows. Seems like a sly way to slowly turn the UK public off the idea of the NHS and a useful welfare state.

TV shows in "have a political agenda" shocker.

The sad thing is, reading above, it clearly works.

If your at all switched on you will realise that these things go on on a regular basis and you do not even have to watch a tv

They undoubtedly do but it's about balance and perspective. Channel 5 don't broadcast shows with titles such as "On Benefits and Actively Looking For Work"

I don't have a TV.

What this particular type of propaganda does is take a few extreme cases and make it appear to be the norm - it has to have a slight element of plausibility.

It's a lovely distraction from the wholesale robbery of taxpayers money being effected by companies who evade corporation tax, MPs expenses, The bankers...etc.

Working class people getting het up by benefit cheats is the financial equivalent of two tramps squabbling over 50p

So few and so extreme they find whole streets to film!

Also learn the difference between avoidance and evasion, it could mean the difference between you opening an ISA or a jail cell

Nothing like a little righteous indignation. That said, why people allow themselves to be filmed knowing it's going to get people's backs up is beyond me.

Dont care about the tv show but turning your back and ignoring the issue is how they get away with exploiting the system and using all hard working peoples cash to steal a comfortable life , being ignorant creates the issue , thats whats wrong with the country

Only corporation tax on profits it will have paid masses of tax and no and pensions contributions though it's PAYE payments.
