i like bond movies though havent watched one for a long time, Daniel Craig is revoltingly smarmy, Roger Moore, now he is so much better, suave and sophisticated

I've only ever watched the Bond films with Daniel Craig in them. I think the older films are rubbish but I think Daniel Craig is delicious

from a male point of view... i thought roger moore was the smarmy one. daniel craig may lack sophistication but you can believe that he would actually kill someone.

Edinburgh

I have only ever watched one Bond movie... Moonraker - because I was dragged along to the pictures with friends at some point in the 80s.

I shall never watch another.

I think perhaps thats where our opinions come from as some of us have grown up with the old ones, ive only watched one of the new ones and hated it, just boring, almost like a rehashed remake, a bit like the Blue Lagoon

I agree with that too. Moore always seemed a bit creepy...

I think Daniel Craig brings believability.. sadly for Bond, it was revamped a little late.

Now Bourne is very good..

However, I love Bond, I have watched every single one.. and do love it.

East Grinstead

Bond is escapism, where as Bourne is much more could really happen.

Both are good, and while the Bond actors vary in interpretation they are all pretty watchable.

I have to be honest, I found the early bond films to be very good, (the connery era, Roger Moore played it for laughs, I though the Dalton ones were a bit wet, but Daniel Craig has dead eyes, he drips ruthless killer,

gotta agree with surryfun here.... bond is fantasy, while bourne could be reality..

Just watched the bourne trilogy again over the last 3 nights, and love it every time I see it

I read the books as a child, and it seems to me that the various Bonds have moved consistently away from the original character. Roger Moore was probably the closest, and David Niven was very good. I suppose it depends what you want out of Bond films - action or authenticity.

I like the Dark and dangerous side that Craig brings to the newer bond movies.

He is much more a bad boy, which I love..

Yes bourne is more something you could believe in.. but sometimes you dont want that.. :D

Oh now what a 4sum... Craigs interpretation of Bond, Matt Damon as Bourne, and my Master.. ohhh Now thats a MMMF made in heaven.. oh sorry add Jason Statham to that too and

... actually I shall not go on.. :D

Katie.

But is very rare that you get a film that is exactly like the book.

Although I will admit that Jason Bourne is a better character, but then the books were written decades apart
