holding big partys do you need a licence / insurance

if you were to hold a big party in your home say 60/70 people AND your charging them to come in do you need permission from the council and do you need a licence or can you just get on and do what you want

not me who is holding these partys but someone i know of

if your charging people then your offering a service, then you will need public liabilaty, otherwise you could cet sued.

you will also need to have accounts and declaire on your tax return

plus there is the whole legality issue of having a sex party, is it legal where its beeing held???

Not just that you need to make sure there are enough exits and fire extinguishers. They need to call out the fire brigade to get assessed and for a 3/4 bedroom house they are unlikely to give a pass certificate. If they are charging admission they are probably breaking lots of regulations.

Maybe its worth checking out some clubs and renting one out for an evening this way can charge to cover costs. Did that last year at arousals and they have the place and the insurance. Just an idea
