Winter may be drawing to an end - I wish!

How are your spring bulbs coming along? My snowdrops and some narcissus are up - not flowering, but their shoots are above the soil. I'd imagine down south yours may be even further along. I can imagine early January snowdrops at this pace.

. I have just planted lots of tulips in various locations but do not expect to see a result unto the summer.

My Dalhias were all flowering into the heavy frost two weeks ago..

Got 6" of daffy shoots showing already - and 2 rose bushes in full bloom.

Nature is easily confused - Cold snap followed by much milder, and everything goes nuts. It'll have a nasty shock when the frost/snow arrives properly.

Unless wind damage could cause problems I'd prune roses in late winter/spring. They're still flowering here.

It's generally fine to plant tulips late, especially if you have a waterlogged soil. My narcissus always start rooting in late August, so we're already a few months on from that.

Did you sow Sweet Peas Joe?

My snowdrops vary between January and March and have a few types. But all good healthy strong shoots here.

My lovely Cyclamen coum are in flower now, a beautiful deep bright pink.

I seem to do well with ordeal growing here - a cyclamen seeded itself into a concrete crack and I have Californian Poppies that did the same into tarmac - both grow and flower strongly. The poppies from mud May until 2 weeks ago.

It is late autumn, early winter of course. I'm off for a few weeks in the warmth soon as winter isn't my favorite time in Europe.
