Anyone ever been a mystery shopper?.

Ive often heard of mystery shoppers who visit major stores to check their customer service. Has anyone been one or worked in a store where one has been 'difficult'?.

One of my friends did this a few years ago. Said it was a woman's dream, shopping all day and getting paid for it, what's not to like about that.

I work with someone that does it, if she gets any money, she gets i reimbursed. The problem is having the money up front which i dont always have

I do mystery shopping and it isnt all shopping as such, its anything that deals with members of the public ie: hotels, restaraunts, car hire even websites

Do you have to be extremely awkward to see how they react when dealing with a difficult customer?

I have been a mystery shopper in the past, and i would certainly recommend anyone who works in retail to do it... I think it gives you a much better insight into what to look at in your own jobs and pinpoint any weaknesses...
