A Mate of mine has just had his Ear pierced and a little Diamond type Earing inserted, he's 47 and thinks it's really cool, wouldn't do it myself but I'm interested in what the Fabsters think

Ha,,,,, not that I confess to watching Breakfast TV…… however today I noticed veteran actor Harrison Ford being inter_iewed on the BBC red couch promoting his new film ….and he was wearing a Stud earring….. This earring would have further grabbed my attention had it not been for my utter bewilderment that this person of undoubted aptitude in role-playing could not extend it to being an interesting inter_iewee …….. OMG…….. Perhaps his obviously apparent early morning dullness had something to do with him wearing lobular adornment…. But perhaps not.......

A single stud, diamond or otherwise, on a middle-aged guy is not a good look.

A small gold hoop in one ear is fine.

Thats what I have, a small gold hoop in each ear.

I feel obliged to being a fisherman, people say I look like a pirate!

I used to have both ears pierced until I was turned down for a job on that basis. I took them out straight after the inter_iew and never put them back in again.

Now, I think it looks a bit naff on men tbh.

He ALWAYS inter_iews like that. Dull doesn't come close, and I always feel sorry for the inter_iewers. Poor Bill and Sian were flogging a dead horse, bless them.

He hates giving inter_iews but sadly for the poor dear he has to flog the films he's paid millions to star in!

I'm not sure about men having both ears pierced and in use. If men want to wear two earring then both ought to be in the same ear - maybe hoops of slightly different sizes.

I've had 2 thick gold hoops in one lobe since my teens.

I couldn't imagine not having them now.

Yes, I know what you mean, they look awful, and painful, the things people do for pleasure!

"It's an error in taste unless you are a pirate sailing the high seas.

Ahharrrrrrrrr!"

We were at a Bikers charity event down the seafront last summer.

Trace and myself were sitting on a bench eating ice cream, I had a bandana on my head and just a pair of cammo shorts on.

A lady with her little grandson came up and said "My grandson just said nanna there's a pirate eating an ice cream over there".

It came down to me having to "AHARRRRR shipmate", "Avast and belay there", "Ye scurvy swabs" etc etc, to keep his dream alive, bless!

I thought that the only men that wore earrings these days all work at fairgrounds, but keep getting them caught in their mullets.

Not cool at all. Does he look like Peter Stringfellow?
