I think it's naff to single one person out as a favourite.

If I want to impress someone that badly, I'd just as soon as send them a nice message asking when they are free

Is it about having favourites ?

Fab is a 'community'

As with any community, there will be those we like more than others, fancy more than others, would like to meet more than others and those we just have that 'clique' with (see what I did there ? )

To me, it's not about favourites, it is about seeking out those with whom we have commonality and an intrinsic bond.

There are several here who I have bonded with. Some I have met, others I may never meet but that doesn't mean I don't value our kinships any less than those I have.

I agree, but for some its important to make ostentatious shows of public desire so as to get their targets attention. Personally I'd rather chat with them out of public forums

It really isn't, some guys just need an angle to help them stand out and get meets, like making that first rip in the old wallpaper before you can take whole sheets down, the people who jump in wretchedly griping, whining and complaining about this are the ones who are the most annoying.

I disagree. in the case of the op....sorry op but it's a good example, the guy has named one specific lady. All he's done is turn other women off because they know that his favourite isn't them, and possibly turned off the lady in question by making it public. I fail to see how this would get someone noticed in a positive way. You've read the reactions.

Perhaps it's down to those women he's turned off to make a better effort to appeal to him then, rather than complain that he likes someone else more?

Oh I'm sorry, why should they?

Well, they seem to find him attractive enough to complain about the fact that he's not attracted to them, so if they DON'T fancy him, then why complain at all?

Seriously, the problem isn't with the question, just that some people LOVE a good moan.

Who's complaining?"

Pardon me, I must have mistakenly assumed your 'it's like being at school' comment was implying you didn't like the thread.

This doesn't even make sense "

The same could be said for silly old cunts as much as people being childlike....I agree about the petulance but their comments kinda the same thing. It's still a roll your eyes skyward moment. I don't think people are offended, maybe just a little miffed as to the point of the thread.

"Is it about having favourites ?

Fab is a 'community'

As with any community, there will be those we like more than others, fancy more than others, would like to meet more than others and those we just have that 'clique' with (see what I did there ? )

To me, it's not about favourites, it is about seeking out those with whom we have commonality and an intrinsic bond.

There are several here who I have bonded with. Some I have met, others I may never meet but that doesn't mean I don't value our kinships any less than those I have."

Yeah but the thing is OP - even though I've - possibly unwisely - joined in here and named a name - i'd now be less keen to meet you because I'd feel that there's someone else you'd prefer to be with - even though I think Ruby's ace! When I came back to Fab, I was not looking for anything other than Club meets but My mindset is changing all the time, I have struck up a flirty friendship with one or two people that I definitely want to meet.

I have Fabbed loads of pics on many profiles but I know for a fact that I will never meet the majority of them, I love a nice, sexy, different, interesting pic and I think that's all Fabing pics means ? If I really want to meet someone I will let them know with a message after I have Fabbed all of pics of course..

Oh bloody hell.

A couple of points:

To be fair to the OP, he can't just message me because nobody can.

I don't particularly like these threads either but are we really suggesting women would be put off meeting someone if they find they're not their 'favourite'? I've met plenty of men who have a FB or a wife or someone who is clearly their favourite person on here, it's a bit arrogant to assume you're always going to be top of someone's list.

If it was one of the acceptable favourites everyone would have gone "aww yeah me too" and this wouldn't have turned into such a shit storm.

There is a fabulously hypocritical post on this thread calling it cringeworthy, from someone who regularly encourages and laps up the obvious and unrequited puppy-like fawning of a man on this site.

Have a good day fabbers

Hey you do what you've got to do, desperation comes in many forms. You went with a hot one, at least it wasn't SweatyMary, (made up, i hope) then they'd of been real trouble! Maybe it's best not to point out the obvious though, I think that's the issue, it's mundane and predictable, not to say I blame you for your need, but it does just appear to be that.

Needy.

It is however, as me saying 'pass' or such like at least establishes my presence in such threads, and may catch the attention of someone I might just find attractive myself, your 'cringeworthy' comment however was simply you attempting to piss on the OP, nothing more.

"He hasn't turned me off as I have no desire to fuck him. I'm also not complaining, I'm stating its cringeworthy.

And this gained you what, exactly? In what way did you, or the thread, benefit from making that comment?

I benefited me because I'm answering honestly, just like you do in fuck someone in this thread post or kiss fuck and avoid posts. I know I said I have no desire to fuck him, but it's no different saying "avoid" in those threads.

It is however, as me saying 'pass' or such like at least establishes my presence in such threads, and may catch the attention of someone I might just find attractive myself, your 'cringeworthy' comment however was simply you attempting to piss on the OP, nothing more."

And something else I'd add, is that his gentlemanly conduct throughout, in spite of the bile, makes him look a hell of a lot better than those spouting it, so well done OP

"How many of these posts will be people who post on these forums or people who will never read them.

Seen a fair few while looking around but can never remember their names. A little bit dirty who never comes in the forum is one woman who looks stunning

If you mean justabitdirty she's just as got in real life too - and really lovely!

If I had to choose one guy that I haven't already met then it would have to be Mr polar bear!

Not sure if he feels the same though so I may just have made a Pratt of myself!

We said dinner in the new year - right? "

Actually yeah we did!

Three courses and coffee!

A violin seranade in the background is optional!

"Oh bloody hell.

Have a good day fabbers "

I don't encourage it and I don't lap it up. Infact I've found it sometimes cringeworthy too and the guy in question knows this and we laugh about it.

I would also have said the same no matter who it was.

Have you never read the forum? It's full of just such arrogance.

Well I never thought of myself as arrogant before but perhaps I am?

I wouldn't say I want to be someone's 'favourite ' - but I'd want to know that they genuinely like and fancy me and that there's nowhere else they'd rather be at that time!

That doesn't mean I don't want them to have equally great meets with other people though! X

Yeah I wouldn't class peach as arrogant or jelous I remember when we met up at the forum social for the first time she tried to pass me off to one of her friends ^_^"

Thanks! Must admit I was pretty pleased when we ended up together though!

The op started a thread that was meant to be a bit of light hearted fun.

Some funny replies, some cheeky banter and a bit of a giggle then some people decided to be bitter and moanarsey and try and slate the guy.

He's handled himself marvelously I'd say, polite and not engaging the idiots who've made themselves look wholly unattractive.

So well done op, you made a good attempt it got dragged of course the same thread dona different day though can go well it just depends how twatish people feel on any particular day.

I've read it a couple of times r e a l l y s l o w l y and I read it as she's not finding any quality people any more,just getting abuse and she directed her comment towards admin.

She didn't specify which parts of Fab has had a drop in quality so I assumed it was who messages her.
