Do any ladies actually meet guys in there 50s? Had a few meets but it is very difficult. Plenty of chat and great banter and a few friends but age is a downside me thinks

I've not found it a major problem.

Try improving your profile a bit. Correct some of the more obvious errors such as using 'or' when you mean 'nor' and correct capitalisation ( i is always I and ok reads easier when written as OK ot Ok ). Sound pedantic but it makes your profile all look better and easier to read.

More pics would help.

My preferred age group is 45-65 as I'm 55 but find most men in that age group I'm interested in seeking 18-35 year old...go figure!

We meet men in their fifties.

Every week men from a selection of ages ranging from 19 to 60 something start threads saying how difficult it is for their age group. This leads me to conclude that its difficult for men of all ages except a few.

I think you are probably right in your assumption. Surely age is just a number. Having turned 50 this year, aside from being excluded from a few more profiles due to their age preference, I don't think my ratio of new meets has changed. No more, no less.

Fab is and always will be over subscribed with males wanting to meet females and couples. Many of those think because its a swinging site they will be playing non stop. It comes as a shock when they realise that isn't the case. For those that put time and effort in, many will be lucky. Sitting on the sidelines and complaining about your lot isn't going to endear them to anybody. None of these points, I believe are age related?
