But the meet was coupled with a friends birthday party on one occasion, my birthday party on another, forum social a few times, the sex was just the icing on the cake of a weekend of laughs, banter, dancing and seeing friends.

Central

Depending on your location and transport options, 50 miles can be next to nothing. If you live remotely, mostly everyone is a long way away - if transport is good, you can cover that distance quickly. Eg, fens may be near to the A1 and A14, which takes you from the rural to built up areas fairly well. Or stuck in central London you may pop on to an intercity train and move rapidly - or crawl in a slow car.

I regularly travel 150 miles to meet my boyfriend, he lives that far away... but there's more to it than just getting laid now... although the first few times were about sex.

I've had a meet in the past who regularly made a 300 mile round trip to meet, and met a lovely couple who drove from Stoke to Aberdeen to meet socially!

I find the pre meet routine quite a pleasant experience - it's an excuse to make myself feel extra sexy and a chance to see sheep that baa with a different accent to the ones I'm accustomed to... There's the part where you meet someone yummy who welcomes you into their world .....

I don't do socials since I like to travel and it's a logistical nightmare. Hence why I don't meet someone until I'm sure I want to. So far, so very good. Plus I've liked everyone I've met so if the worst came to the worst and they didn't fancy me in person then I wouldn't consider it a wasted trip.

For couples it's generally just sex - the icing on an already marvellous cake! Hopefully they meet each other's needs in every other way!!

For singles (and I'm speaking for myself here) it can be different! We don't just miss out on sex - we miss out on the intimacy/dating experience/friendship etc that comes with a good relationship!

Though I don't currently want a relationship - a good meet is my 'relationship fix' - great sex with affection and intimacy thrown in - but without any of the aggro that comes afterwards in the vanilla world (ie 50 messages a day asking 'what u up 2?')

For a meet like this I'll happily travel over 50 miles op!

It all depends on the person/s how you get on, what kind've fun all go for.

If it's people I click with with and its an afternoon, evening or overnight of social banter/horny repeat fun then cool, 1-2 hrs drive np.

If their just looking for half hour/one hour of fun then 1 hr drive max.

I've driven longer but that was for very good friends for fun days/party nights, naughty weekends.

Just to be clear on this in case of doubt, if going miles and miles, I really have to click with the person before hand before making the trip, obviously I could get there and there isn't the same click we have built up over time but that's why I only meet forumites now, so we can get a good idea of each other etc, if we didn't click in person despite clicking before hand (lots of clicking going on!) I wouldn't force myself to have a shag. Hope that clears up any doubt

I travelled 5000 miles on three aeroplanes to meet someone I got to know online back in 1997. She's been my wife since early 1998

But since then I have travelled three hours each way for a meet that lasted two hours and it was great. A lady travelled 90 minutes to meet me and that was fantastic too. I plan to return the favour soon.

I've done the long distance thing twice and both didn't turn óot well even tho I assumed we had a connection but I was way off mark so now I only meet locally and for me it's worked óot great.Found myself a new fwb oot of it too.I won't go more than a a hous drive.Past experience as taught me a good lesson.

I do however have a sexy forumite travelling just over 4 hrs and two lush forumites in the ny coming over and think it's just over a hr for them.

Why I guess they want to ..And as the advert implies im worth it

I've had someone drive 180 for coffee, another 160 for lunch, but his daughter lived nearby so it wasn't just for me, but I wouldn't travel far now or want someone to travel that far to me.

From the messages we get - mainly single guys - they literally just want to get laid, and they will travel..... We just tell them you're a bit far away for us.... We're not exactly special, we haven't even rewritten our profile.... They can't be interested in us for any other reason than to get thier wellies wet....

But isn't this a 'no strings' sex site? Isn't them wanting to have sex with you kind of the point?
