I love it when people post loads of rules on their profile and then describe themselves as "easy going".

Tickles my sense of humour but achieves the desired affect - I stay well clear!

I guess there is a difference between easy going and being easy.

We'd say hi to anyone but would not do anything with anyone.

Yes, I take "easy-going" to mean laid-back, not "easy" which has very different connatations.

I have never entered a sexual relationship (even a one-off) with any pre-conceived idea of how it will go - I would just say no, if I didn't like something, or change position and find something more mutually exciting.

Although, call me a hypocrite, but I have listed a couple of things that don't interest me on my profile.

I don't see the point in putting rules on though, anyone can ignore messages that don't suit them and if anything i'd say giving them a way to get round your hoops (by telling them what they are) is gonna end up with you meeting the very people you didn't want to meet in the first place.

Just put on what you're looking for, that's enough then check out their profile to see if they're wanting what you want. Add some personality if you can be bothered, i can't.

Also, I think there's a difference between "not easy going" and "is harassed by scores of men every day". The behaviours resulting from the latter doesn't always mean the former is true.

I know that some women get an unmanageable number of messages on here, so I completely understand why some of them put rules up. Heh.

Like, I would describe myself as pretty laid back, and I consider myself lucky that I can have a profile that reflects that. :D

But I also understand the desire to put lots of rules up, so that you can ensure you only get quality messages, so you can spend more time being easy going with those people, rather than spend all your time sorting messages.

Yeah this is generally how it goes but I always promised myself that I'd not have a shouty, negative profile. I can choose how I behave and whilst that's an option, I'm not turning into one of those rules and regulations sorts with notes about Sydney university and you must write 'cabbage-sack' in the title so I know you've read to the end blah blah blah.

I disagree. I find that most people don't read profiles anyway. So having a rule-based, negative profile still doesn't make sense to me. I'd still rather have a friendly profile, because I hope that my profile is a reflection of me, not on others' actions towards me.

For me, I'd say:

The longer I'm on fab the more I understand why people mass delete messages.

Its not about being women being hard work,its about women having respect for themselves, and letting you "easy going males" know that, if you wanna fuck us,you also need to have some respect for us, rules are there for a reason, I for one found out that rules are extremely important if im going to enjoy a meet

When I read a profile with lots of do's and don'ts I assume they are spurned from a requirement to counter-act the very issue they relate too.

Eg' no unsolicited friends requests' etc.

But I still can't help but be put off by the negativity of it.

I have Bi on my profile so receive many blunt requests or one-liners from men ( straight,gay and bi ) though I am sure only a fraction of what the ladies and couples get. Delete....block persistent offenders, move on.

Early on, I did try the thanks but no thanks approach but that appeared to be a red rag to a bull.

The quandary is though, that the people who carpet bomb profiles and therefore instigate these do/don't profiles....don't read profiles in the first place.

I am very easy going. Too easy going for my own good. On meets I am that relaxed, people often don't realise I just want to strip them naked. Unless I am with the right person, I am pretty useless at flirting, so can quite easily just chat. People have often said they thought I didn't fancy them when inside, I am wondering if they are wearing knickers or not!

Bit of a different story when naked, but all bets are off until I know they like me. It's the way I have always approached my meets no matter how far I've travelled.
