Hi new to Fab and was thinking the other day about getting back into yacht racing and thought how great it would be if we could get a Fab team together and noticed other similar posts in the forum.

Does anyone on here have access to a yacht or know someone that does that would be interested in getting a crew together to take part in local races on the Solent?

I have many hours logged in big boats and dinghies and have my RYA Skippers ticket

Can't you locate a boat op with your qualifications?

Try as a crew member first build you're experience and then try to get a boat

Plenty of places for experienced crew come Available put ads up in local marinas

If I remember Correctly racing you shit in a bucket and sleep on the floor ) if you get the chance) in your clothes

and yachting you use a sea toilet and have a bunk

Good luck

I (male half) races ours during the season though unfortunately outside of your preferred area - and have a good crew. Personally, I would pick the crew on the basis of ability rather than swinging qualifications, but no reason not to have some 'parties' on board afterwards - and we have! "
