"I don't like it, but I have to confess to finding a woman using the word in certain contexts sexy. Does this make me sexist?"

no..

its appealing to some of us as its 'naughty', goes against what we are programmed to see as nice language and bad language..

take away the bad words and they don't have any thrill, taboo..

they become just another word..

I was raised by a woman who taught me respect and manners.

It's a terrible derivative word, I hate hearng it and situation now matter what the sex of the person saying it is.

That being said I was also raised not to judge so each to their own

I've never understood why people over react to this word, it's not like it's a politically incorrect word, so when people gasp and look horrified when someone uses it amuses me.

How does it differ from: Twat; bastard; arsehole; bellend; fuck etc? It's just another swear word, yet some people see it as inappropriate, each to their own I guess, don't care who uses it or when.

Depends on the accent IMO.

Cunt in a North East accent sounds quite aggressive therefore I rarely use it.

I always find it interesting how swears derived from male genetalia (cock, wanker, dick, dickhead) are used routinely and are acceptable.

But swears derived from women's genetalia are either emasculating (pussy) or are deemed to be so unpleasant that 'proper' ladies wouldn't use that word (cunt).

I like having a really cutting swear that is derived from my own genitals. I like that many men feel too uncomfortable to use it - it makes it all the more powerful to use.

(And I like calling my male sub's genitals a cunt, because I can, and because it's hot to move him more towards an androgynous sex object).

I was so irritated I didn't even rant at him. He simply got an 'I don't fucking have time for you today'.

Apparently it's unladylike to swear, but not ungentlemanlike to not to ask if I'm ok.
