And specifically do you have to supply your bank account info before even using the free trial.?

It's pretty good, you can cancel and restart at will.

You will have to give your payment details for the free trial, but when you cancel before the trial expires you will be offered a cheaper package. You generally end up being offered half price for 3 months, etc.
