Hot Tub Experiences

A little discussion for those out there who have an outdoor hot tub.

So this morning in the NW it is a miserable cold and rainy winters day. We jumped in the hot tub under the parasol and sat cozy in the hot bubbles as the rain came down all around us.

It got us talking about how a simple hot tub can provide so many different experiences depending on the weather and also day/night differences.

What is your favourite weather and time of day to use your hot tub?

Clear evening sky, watching the stars, hands wandering who knows where...

Brighton - even Hove!

Haven't got one at home but was in a lodge with one and it was a freezing cold February at night, clear skies and was fantastic.

Id love one for the cold wet weather experience you had today but nothing sexual. Sex in water does nothing for me.

You are right. I am not talking about sexual experiences. If anything sex in the cleanest of hot tubs is not going to do anything favourable to a woman's internal "balance"

I like walking on rainy days. I dont like it when its windy and raining, but I do like it when it rains. Second would be the first fall of snow, when it is silent, crisp, warm and the sun is out and I suppose you cant beat dry heat on a white sandy beach.

I've done that up north, in the snow. It's epic! I really want a hot tub! I suspect I need a garden for that. When I'm a grown up, I'll have a garden.

I don't have one at home, but based on my experience of staying places which do - my favourite has to be night time when its cold and crisp outside and the steam is rising. There is something that feels really decadent about it. Otherwise sunset in the summer.

I have a big enough garden but some very nosy elderly neighbours on all sides so would need to grow some very large trees

In terms of privacy..... We have had a hot up for going on 8 years and in three different houses. First house we built a lean to on the back of the house and the second house we bought a canvass gazebo where you could unzip and roll up the sides. This latest house is not overlooked at all and so we just use a rain parasol when it is raining otherwise we are open to the sky and the stars.

The night time experience is also very different. We have a cluster laser that we fire across the hot tub and the red /green beans get caught up in the rising steam. Even more so on damp, foggy and drizzly nights.
