Regards or kind regards always sounds to stiff and formal and old fashioned to me.

I sign off with thanks

I use a variety of sign offs depending

Business tends to be Kind Regards

With thanks if I am expecting a response or showing gratitude

Cheers is my go to for most emails

Best wishes if that's what I wish to convey

Just my name if I'm really pissed off

Ricky, if you could just move there... yes, that's it. Now, kneel down... and I've got the buttons undone and you're away. Good lad.

Cheers or regards works for me, depending on how (in)formal I want to be.
