.

They make two pieces of Hot Wings out of one chicken wing, so only 1 bird is required for 3 pieces!

no, each wing is approx 50p, you get a discount for bulk buying....4 wings = £1.98 as you have to buy 2 x 2 @ 99p

So there is no 'fourth' wing then?

Or if there is, I can't buy it alone, I have to buy the other three as well?

Seems wasteful to throw away the three wings I don't want.

They should have kept it at 99p for three.

Then there would have been a wing left.

For 'about 50p'.

no, there would have been two wings left...as you only want one.

ergo, it makes more sense to only buy two for 99p so you won't be wasting 2 wings, only one.

If somebody buys 3 wings for £1.50, then the wing people have a wing left over.

The fourth wing.

Do they throw that wing away i.e should I wait round the back & catch it?

Or, are they open to 'offers' on the fourth wing.

Surely getting something for it makes more business sense from their point of _iew?

OR

If I DID, reluctantly, buy two wings, would they buy one of them back from me.

(this would allow them to turn the fourth wing back into a pair of wings and thus, again, increase profits)

no, as they don't sell three wings...only two.

this is non-negotiable so there will be no buy back plan.

caveat emptor!

WELL.

All I can say is i'm surprised that such a young person is responsible for answering the phone in a company of such a size, even if it is the weekend.

And the wing people need to get him trained up on both 'customer service' and 'negotiation skills'.

Though his bringing 'slaw' (whatever that is) into the conversation did throw me, i'll admit.

I can however confirm that the wing people do not sell the fourth wing as a single item. At any price. Nor do they 'trade' wings in any 'buy back' scheme for extra, unwanted wings.

He was adamant, to say the least.

And curt.

And he accused me of being both curt and of limited intellectual capacity.

'Stupid curt'.

Though the line was bad...

Chicken feet have always been popular with the Chinese.

Chopped the claws first, as they are unsightly.

Deep fried them, and braise them with a rich soy gravy with ginger, garlic and spring onions.

Yum yum!

Or the Thai way. Pickle the chicken feet skin so that its texture changes to kind of crunchy!

Hopefully, I'd get to eat both dishes when I am up in London in Feb 2011 and visit my favourite dim sum restaurant in Chinatown!

Although I prefer a Deluxe Boneless Banquet to a Variety Meal... with a Diet Pepsi to make it marginally less unhealthy.

"U will be lucky if the wings r chicken and not cat ...... he he

winged cats is a skin condition called feline cutaneous asthenia, or FCA, which is related to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (elastic skin) in humans. In winged cats that are due to FCA, the wings only occur on the shoulders, haunches, or back. Winged cats that are due to FCA can often actively move their wings, suggesting the presence of neuromuscular tissue within the wings, which is not present within clumps of matted fur alone.

Yummy!

And there's another advantage to the 'single wing'.

Ideal for people watching their weight.
