Crohns unfortunately

A million times better now than a few months back though

Being able to demolish a couple of sunday dinners in a row and buffet restaurants wishing I hadn't turned up was fun though

I carry a lot of muscle yes, but I have let myself go a bit, and podgy around the middle. I've no excuses really, just been lazy with my diet.

Putting a bit more effort in the Gym and eating more, But I have to find a balance as I would like to get a toned stomach again while building my body/legs

Yes, that is fun. Ah, memories of when I could eat a lot. Pizza hut probably lost 4 pizzas from their buffet whenever I went, and my brother was the same.

Is that your ideal weight or are you looking to lose more weight ?

I'm 5'8 so not sure what I really should weigh but I do only have a small body frame so don't really want to gain much more

Ah sorry, I didn't realise.

I don't pay attention to my weigh either. When I was 8.5 stone, a nurse in my pre op assessment told me I needed to "watch my weight". I was a size 8. Seemed kinda bizarre to suggest I'm close to a weight problem when I wear smaller clothes than the UK average.

I do think going by dress size is the best way

I'm happy. I never intentionally decided to lose weight, I just got the car and decided to cut back on some unnecessary eating habits as a result. I rarely have a Gregg's breakfast or any kind of fast food or sugar, and I rarely drink alcohol as I prefer to drive.

my daughter had her first course of steroids last summer for chrohns (had put this off for 10 years) - she put on a few pounds but to be honest she needed to do that due to the nature of the illness - she was very aware of the moon face she could get which is mostly water retention so ate plenty diuretics - cucumber minus the skin etc - she drank loads of green, peppermint and ginger teas - still does now - and turmeric supplements to help with inflammation

I'd like to pretend it was all hard work but it was actually laziness. It's so busy at my new job I take a porridge pot for lunch rather than buying a sandwich. I'm too busy to snack too

I'm just below 10 stone now, which I am happy with. I was a little lighter but I had a car accident in June which stopped me training at the gym, but I am 19 stone lighter than I was in Jan 2010, so its all good!

My actual weight - 15st - hasn't changed much since I was 15 tbh. Whilst I'm told I'm still slim, it does feel as if I'm melting. Surely only reason why all my weight is visibly congregating round my tummy

Yes, but muscle is 4 times heavier by volume. A person of 10 stone can be many different shapes. That not taking into account the bone structure either.

I think Courtney was saying that if the OP had more muscle then he would weigh more....even within his current dimensions.

Concentrating on weight and being so light at his height...well, he can lose lots more and still not drop body fat. That's assuming the POW look is in this year.

Going to get down to what you were when you were 12 ? Or 10 ?

Smacks of an obsession that can get to be unhealthily close to anorexia.

I appreciate this seems harsh, but knowing what you weighed at 15yrs old speaks of a long term fixation on weight and not health.

Thanks winks, but I think there's been some confusion as it's not an intentional weight loss, I was happy how I was, merely that I feel better having lost weight since cutting down on fast food and sugar since I started driving as I couldn't afford both

Mine had a set of feet for carpet but stil read wrong sometime in bathroom mine were electronic rubbish

Gone from 105 kilos to 94.3 in a few months

Merely meant as a passing comment, and I'd agree if someone else had written it. In my case... less so. I reached my current height at 15 which is why I picked that age. Never actually owned a pair of scales - just know my weight periodically from medicals (have to have one regularly for my job), helicopter trips...and when using friends bathrooms! And had just happened to weigh myself over the weekend.

It would be easy to be obsessed though - my bmi is technically saying I'm obese. A touch of common sense goes a long way.

Smacks of an obsession that can get to be unhealthily close to anorexia.

I appreciate this seems harsh, but knowing what you weighed at 15yrs old speaks of a long term fixation on weight and not health.

Thanks winks, but I think there's been some confusion as it's not an intentional weight loss, I was happy how I was, merely that I feel better having lost weight since cutting down on fast food and sugar since I started driving as I couldn't afford both "

But the "oooh look at me, I am the same weight as when I was going g through puberty" type of post does seem to say you like having a very slender figure.

I suppose, if you are wanting that then fine. But it's easier and cheaper to eat bad food than good.

So your financial argument is not necessarily sound.

Considering at my very heaviest I've e er weighed was 22 stone 7lb.

But when I started dieting was 21stone 7lb

Think that's exactly 12 stone 7lb loss

11 1/2 at 6 foot is bordering on very light.remember it's winter and virus time.you need something in the bank to fight back the colds.

I've a set of scales that do them - my body fat is a bit high just now - its just about 28% - but its because I wasn't training over the summer since my accident... but considering how bad it was when I was nearly 30 stone, I'll get it back under control.

I can't remember the last time I weighed myself, I can tell instantly if I'm putting weight on then just hit the three day Military diet and lost up to half a stone by the time the next weekend comes around.

Plus if I can't fit MY ha d down my skinny jeans , I know I need a few crunches to flatten the tummy

It is, but I eat healthier, generally two meals and a banana, rather than 4 meals, and snacks with only two healthy meals and the others being fast food

So on new years day this year I weighed 14st 8 and was approaching 36 inch waist. Heaviest I've ever been. Didn't like it so made a few changes. Now at 13st 4 and no longer fussy about the numbers as probably a bit of muscle gain there. Need to shed a bit more pudgy stuff on the tummy and I'll be happy. Not fussed for a 6 pack but would like to have some definition showing. I know you ladies like a good torso shot.

Im 15 stones, but the way I look at is that muscle weighs 3 times heavier than flab, correct?

If I was as flabby as some people may think I am, surely Id only weigh 5 stones instead?
