Mine used to be coloured now they are all blue and white, pretty boring in my eyes.

What are yours like? Coloured, traditional?

It's funny really I love all the colours but I keep coordinating my house ones every year.

Think I need to get back to basics

I have done too! My friend last year had a real tree with coloured lights! It was perfect!

Multi-coloured on the tree and draped around the guttering. Red berry like balls all over the trees. White stars around various small decorations like the crib.

Newcastle has been white and blue for a good few years now, with off little streets and sections bright and colourful.

I like it

Oh the town ones are the same boring ones as last year mainly white and blue. I try to brighten the place up

Same here white and blue, have been for years now. Although we got a few new ones in town centre, also white and blue. And some christmas tree made out of circles that is yellow i think can't remember, it wasn't that impressive.

Really nice lamppost hanging ones and spotlights in the trees making them light up each branch in a lovely blue. Each house on the Main Street can also have a tree put on the side of the house high up that they can pay to light up. The town does Christmas well.

They are shite! Basically a bunch of naff, coloured lights stuck to lamp posts down the local high street. That is it. Looks like they've spent all of £4 on them. They really shouldn't have bothered

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

The lights are put up in my local town but one thing they have got right is that they are not being switched on until the first weekend in December!!! My house ones won`t go up until about a week before Xmas as having a wood burner means they will get incredibly dusty. A friend of mine lived with her grand-parents and they wouldn`t put their decorations up until Xmas Eve after she`d gone to bed!!!

She said she thought it was brilliant! Go to bed with a house all drab, come down Xmas morning to deccies, tree, food and prezzies just like magic!
