Largely because porn is made by men for men.

I discussed this with a fem friend recently. The whole 'deep throat' thing is a complete misnomer - the sensitive bit of a cock is at the tip, just like the sensitive bit of your 'bits' is the 1st few inches.

Hence deep throat blow jobs and guys with 14" cocks are more about how good it looks on screen than anything else.

Keeping in mind that your average male porn viewer will, in general, not be getting any and will be watching/wanking alone.

Not for me, no. I do like to see a woman take as much as she can in her mouth, but making her gag is not good for me. She pretty much controls it, with teeth as a backup plan!
