So the electricity supply to Crimea from the Ukraine has been disturbed by protesters who don't want Russian rule. Am i the only one who thinks it odd that the Ukraine was still supply electricity in the first place?!

Titz Towers, North Notts

Not really. The power grid was laid out prior to separation and as the Russian's supply the Ukraine with power themselves, I doubt they'd want to switch it off and have Putin return the favour.
