sunday is abound with the sickly sweet all american festive films. pretty naff but always guaranteed some eye candy

no room for lees than perfect in the food old US of A

Perfect? Its a Wonderful Life is based on a guy trying to commit suicide. A Christmas Story is the most average American Christmas ever. Christmas Vacation is a comedy about everything going wrong.....

I dunno....there are plenty of less than perfect American Christmas movies out there.

Love Actually is not a sickly sweet American film. The Family Stone is American and not sickly sweet,the end scene makes me cry.

They are the best! They cram as much Christmas into 90 minutes a person can take. And,you don't need much of a brain to follow the plot

Clearly not. I'm from NYC, so that is a prime example. But lots of movies are about people from places where big houses and clean streets are standard. Most of America is like that. Especially compared to the UK.
