Although I haven't missed an episode I have no idea what the thing is that is going to happen. Last week they were being attacked by sand men weren't they?

If I may ask, what has put you off about this particular series?

im not really sure, I just have connected with the whole thing but then I haven't really enjoyed it since Stephen Moffat took over as head writer.

It's been quite slow and boring and there hasn't been any stories that I've really cared about, nothing that has gripped me enough

Well, I'm going to miss Clara. Sadly, the writers handled her all wrong, for me anyway. She had the potential to be one of the Doctor's best companions yet they felt they had to give her a love interest (even if Danny Pink was a nice bit of eye candy). Jenna Louise Coleman started with great promise & slowly went downhill. So despite the leaving/staying debacle & confused storylines this series she has left the show with a reasonable final exit. Here's hoping they give Capaldi's Doctor a class act for a new companion for next series.

The problem with previous series was that they tried to pack in so much information and story in to 45/50 mins that it felt rushed. In this series they've all been 2 parters so 90/100 mins per story, so they're like a feature film now and much better paced though part 1 and 2 (maybe because of a week break) don't seem to flow very well.

This series hasn't been bad and seems that Steven Moffatt hasn't been writing everything, which is good.

But what an episode!

Nowt wrong with that. My 17 year old daughter wasn't around the "classic era", and her favourite doctor is Tom Baker..... So much so, she went through a phase where she was offering people Jelly Babies, lol

This last series feels more akin to Classic Who. The hyper-kinetic dialogue and minimal plot issues of Nu-Who have largely been wiped away by delivering two parter episodes to a large extent.

It also shows up sloppy writing!

This season has been slow - I must admit I had a bed partner for some of them so ended up watching on catch up

I don't know what is missing from this season maybe not enough perzaze. Other zygons not enough old baddies to catch my attention

Too complicated story lines dependant on past story lines to make any sense also glad Clara is going - so annoying for a reason I can't put my finger on. Bring back Donna!

PS - stick it on before Strictly - 8pm is way too late!

I'd tend to agree with sentiment - fan of classic and reboot, but this series has left me cold and close to giving up. Don't like capaldi as the dr, hate the stupid tweaks - sonic sunglasses?! The guitar playing?! - but the worst is the writing.

Note the viewing figures are apparently now lower than when the Beeb decided to cancel the classic.... Because of low viewing figures!

Whoops - sorry a bit ranty!

Unfortunately for Capaldi he is coming off the back of some seriously popular doctors,I watched his episodes in quick succession after having not watched DW for ages and believe me doing that made the series flow a whole lot better,Clara has jumped into my number 2 spot after Karen Gillan (oh god that woman is like an orgasm for the eyes).as for people wanting donna back in my opinion she had possibly 2 good episodes in total and she was too bloody teenage schoolgirl needy to have been a proper companion.
