I would say it depends on what the inter_iew is for. But for me I would wear what looks best with the suit. Just my opinion xx

if you can wear heels and get there not hobbling cause your feet are killing wear them lol

if not go for flats, your fter a job you dont want to turn up limping and thinking about your poor feet all the way thro

go in your flats, then change into your heals when you get there, lol.

It depends really on what looks better.

It depends if your new job involves a pole.

The other thing to take into account is the height issue, heals make you taller and therefore in a management position can put you above the people "under you"

That's kinda what I think too... sorry. I think a smart heel is fine. A 5" heel is OTT for an inter_iew. If your flats are smart then wear them. If you have an inbetween then go with that. I'd avoid 5" heels for an inter_iew.

My preferred mode of dress for an inter_iew is...flippers,cricket pads,a kilt and an old style deep sea divers helmet. In todays competitive job market it really makes you stand out from the crowd.

I suppose I should add that I have been unemployed for the past 23 years.

In any management role you will be expected to make 'sensible' decisions.

The vast majority of society will not think 5 inch heels are a sensible workwear choice... thus are likely to think you can't even make a good call about what shoes to wear never mind their business.

Depends on which gender is doing the inter_iew...Man will give you a ten outta ten for the heels Woman will give you a who the hell does she think she is for wearing them....

I would go with what you feel happy with, if you feel confident with your image then this will come across during inter_iew. The other thing to think about is how the shoes will be perceived if they are on show, ie, if you have to do a presentation. I personally would go for comfort and smart but with something individual for them to rdmember you by, a black suit with courts but a glimpse of coloured blouse under the jacket etc

Exactly!

I have Chaired a few inter_iew panels in my time and first impressions DO count! I've seen people turn up for an inter_iew for jobs that involve going for meetings with governent ministers, senior civil servants, CEOs etc dressed in jeans and trainers, blouses open to the waist, football/bowling/polo shirts.

If you're applying for a management position in a Peter Stringfellow establishment then 5" heels would be ideal, if not...

my thoughts exactly, I often do this, you just need a big handbag and they are very "on trend" right now.
